The Bowden cable (RTM; sliding wire cable within a sheath) is moved within the sheath by a pull tension and the length of the wire core is altered in a non-linear pattern according to the tension applied to it. The length change is reversible at the wire core. The wire cable core is of a metal alloy with shape memory retention.
