<p>This invention relates to a method of protection from and treatment of neurological damage in mammals by administration of dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) in combination with fructose 1,6-diphosphate (FDP). The effects of administration of the drugs together, either as two separate compositions or in combination, results in synergistic action that greatly improves protection from morbidity in animals (including humans) who have suffered injury to the brain.</p> |
