PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly assemble in a barrel of an ink occlusion material and to set a suitable capillarity caused by a compression deformation of the occlusion material. SOLUTION: A direct liquid feed type writing instrument 1 comprises an ink occlusion material 5 made of a porous material press injected and held in a barrel 2 between a pen tip 61 and an ink tank 21. The material 5 is obtained by blending heat fusible fibers with fibers not melted at a melting point of the fusible fibers, melting the fusible fibers, and partly fusion bonding between the fibers to a heat fusion bonded machining material. |
