PURPOSE: An air conditioner for both cooling and heating is provided to sufficiently heat a room by providing an additional heating device in a heating hole at a lower part of a main body of the air conditioner and prevent safety accident in advance by preventing rising of a surface temperature of the air conditioner. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner for both cooling and heating includes an upper panel formed with a suction hole(4) and a discharge hole(9) and coupled at a front upper part of a main body(1), and a lower panel(14) detachably coupled at a front lower part of the main body, so that room air drawn into the main body is subject to heat exchange for cooling and heating a room, wherein the lower panel is formed with a heating hole(14a) to be rotatably mounted with a heating device and the heating device is provided with a blowing element(106) inside for blowing warm air of a high temperature outside the main body. |
