PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce starting noise and size without an increase of cost in a sheet conveying device. SOLUTION: A sheet conveying device 100 is provided with multiple rotor pairs and sheet conveying means 17, 18, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 27, 52, 53, 54, 59 and 60 which are arranged along a sheet conveying passage 82 for guiding and conveying a sheet, multiple rotating drive means M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, M6 and M7 which rotate the rotor pairs and the sheet conveying means, and a control means which starts the rotating drive means while shifting starting time of each rotating drive means.
