PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flipper type sorting machine of conventional size capable of corresponding to large work and variations of conveyance of work. SOLUTION: A projection 2 is provided on another end 1b (tip) of a sorting arm 1 of one side. This projection 2 extends toward one end 1a (rotary shaft 3 side) of a sorting arm 1 of the other side and a tip 2a thereof extends to a position wherein it does not abut when the one end 1 a of the sorting arm 1 of the other side rotates. When a work W is discharged to the other side, the sorting arm 1 of the other side rotates to the rear of the tip 2a of the projection 2 of one side. The work W is discharged to the other side by an edge of the projection 2 and the sorting arm 1.
