PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soup container for instant food which equals to a conventional polystyrene container using a plastic material which does not discharge a substance which is likely to cause endocrine disruption. SOLUTION: The soup container comprises a polyolefin container having an annular smooth surface 1 on an upper part of a periphery with a plurality of grooves 4 provided in vertical stripes from the smooth surface 1 with vertical ribs 3 left. A region from the annular smooth surface 1 to a portion gripped in a hand is surrounded by a shrunk uniaxially shrinkable film 5 which shrinks in a transverse direction of the container. The uniaxially shrinkable film 5 and the annular flat surface 1 are intermittently fixed, wherein a venting gap exists between the surface 1 and the film which has been shrunk.
