PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the manufacturing cost by reducing the number of part items and thus reducing man-hours required for assembling. SOLUTION: In this pivoting structure of a change lever 3, the change lever 3 is rotatably supported around a shaft pipe 22 which stands on a base 21. The change lever 3 consists of an operation rod 35 and a select arm 33. The select arm 33 has a mounting hole formed on the base side of the operation rod 35, and is slidably fitted around the shaft pipe 22. The shaft pipe 22 is provided with a slit 223, which is slit from the edge, extending in the right angle in relation to the circumferential direction, and a hooking pawl which protrudes outward from the leading edge portion adjacent to the slit 223. On the hooking pawl, an inclined guide surface 225a, which guides the select arm 33 around the shaft pipe 22 and is inclined and tapered towards the leading end side of the shaft pipe 22 is formed.
