PURPOSE: A method for preparing a polyester film that has improved running property and wear resistance is provided. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing a polyester film having improved wear resistance according to the present invention comprises the steps: a) mixing polyester resin having limit viscosity of 0.6 to 1.0 dl/g with inorganic particles present in the amount of 1 to 10 parts by weight based on the total weight of the resin and 1 to 5 parts by weight of titanium chelate compound having the formula I, melting and extruding them: £formula I| wherein X is alkyl such as methyl, ethyl or acetyl, R is multi-functional compound that can be bonded to metal ion to form a chelate compound such as acetone, ethanol or acetoacetate; b) at least uni-axially orienting; and c) applying polymeric resin mix solution on at least one surface of the film.
