PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the output of an engine according to the slip by wheel speed without any different motor vehicle operation information data to improve the starting performance by regulating the opening angle of a main throttle valve according to the control variable based on the judgment result of traction control state to control the drive wheel speed. SOLUTION: A traction control system(TCS) is provided with a MTA 2 for regulating the opening and closing angle of a throttle valve regardless of the accelerator pedal operation by a driver when the TCS is operated. A TCS control part 6 collects the operation information of a motor vehicle from the signals of a wheel speed sensor 1, a throttle valve position sensor 3, an accelerator pedal position sensor 4 and a brake switch 5, performs an operation to judge whether the TCS is operated or not, determines the control variable for traction control, and controls the MTA 2 according to it. A TCS switch 8 outputs a signal for determining whether the TCS control is performed or not by the driver's will.
