CONTROL METHOD FOR COMPRESSOR COOLING FAN OF REFRIGERATOR

PURPOSE: A control method for a compressor cooling fan of a refrigerator is provided to simply turn on/off the compressor cooling fan without an additional temperature sensor. CONSTITUTION: A rotation number of a DC motor(511) is sensed decide whether to drive a compressor cooling fan(59) while operating a compressor(51) with an established rotation number. Herein, the rotation number of the DC motor is sensed by a position sensing unit(211) and a rotation number sensing unit(213). When the rotation number of the DC motor is sensed, the sensed rotation number is compared with a reference rotation number to cool the compressor. When the sensed rotation number is bigger than the reference rotation number, a decision unit(219) of driving the compressor cooling fan outputs a signal to a drive unit(220) of the compressor cooling fan. Thereby, the compressor cooling fan is turned on.
