PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mixer, which can shred a lump-like matter such as a dehydrated cake or the like into a recyclable state. SOLUTION: Two counterrotating parallel mixing shafts 3 and 3' are arranged in a mixing tank 2 and, at the same time, arms 10 and 11 are arranged radially at the predetermined intervals onto the respective mixing shafts 3 and 3'. At the tip of each arm 10, a mashing blade 12, which mashes a material by pushing it against the inner wall 15 of the mixing tank 2, is arranged. On the other hand, at the tip of each arm 11, a scraping blade 13, which scrapes the material adhered to the inner wall 15 of the mixing tank 2 at mashing, is arranged. A lump-like material is finely shredded by repeating the mashing action with the mashing blade of the lump-like matter charged in the mixing tank 2 and the scraping action with the scraping blade 13.
