PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make accurately measurable the wt. of a plate to be coated of which both surfaces are coated with a varnish and to shorten the time required until the measurement of a wt. SOLUTION: The coating equipment consists of a vertical varnish coating apparatus for supplying a plate to be coated (hereinafter referred to as a printed wiring board 7) to between a pair of coating rolls from below to above to coat the upper and rear surfaces thereof with a varnish 78, an after-coating weighing device 2 measuring the wt. of the printed wiring board 7 before the drying of the varnish and a hanging feeder 3 holding the left and right end parts 73, 74 of the printed wiring board 7 pushed out of the vertical varnish coating apparatus upwardly to feed the printed wiring board 7 to the after- coating weighing device 2 in a hanging state. The after-coating weighing device 2 has vertical guides 23, 24 holding the printed wiring board 7 after being coated with the varnish in an erected state at the left and right end parts 73, 74 thereof.
