PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire improving stability and controllability while driving on a wet road. SOLUTION: In a block 18 of this tire, a sipe 20 comprising a thick and deep central sipe 22 and a plurality of a thin and shallow peripheral sipes 24 is formed. The peripheral sipes 24 stem from both ends of the central sipe 22 in the tire width direction and connects to circumferential direction grooves. Water absorbed by the sipe 20 is drained efficiently through the peripheral sipes 24 out to the circumferential grooves. Further, since the sipe 20 does not deteriorate rigidity of the block 18 because of the thin and shallow peripheral sipes 24, its stability and controllability on a wet road is improved. |
