PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint structure between a side ditch and a drain pipe capable of smoothing a combined flow of drainage between the drain pipe and side ditch and controlling residual impurities such as leftover rice or the like remaining in the combined flow between the side ditch and drain pipe. SOLUTION: A drain pipe 2 connected to a kitchen equipment is extended to a side ditch 1 at a right angle to the side ditch 1. One end of a 45 deg. elbow 3 is connected to the end 2A on the side of the side ditch 1 of the drain pipe 2, and one end of a short straigh pipe 4 is connected to the other end of the 45 deg. elbow 3. The other end of the straight pipe 4 is so formed that it makes an angle of 45 deg. to an axis thereof, and a flange 4B is provided to the end face 4A. The flange 4B is fixed to a side wall of the side ditch 1 with a plurality of screws 5.
