PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease running cost and installation cost and to permanently fix a wooden material under compressed condition in an ideal environment. SOLUTION: Both faces of a wooden material are pressed by means of hot plates 1 and it is permanently fixed by heating and pressing it under a temp. and a pressure suitable for permanent fixing under a wet condition in a hermetically sealed space 3. A pressurized gas such as air, nitrogen gas, carbon dioxide gas, etc., without adding steam is compressed into the hermetically sealed space 3 wherein the wooden material is heated and compressed to pressurize the hermetically sealed space to a specified pressure to fix permanently the wooden material.
