PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attach a back arm of a chair easily. SOLUTION: In this method and structure for attaching a nearly L-shaped back arm 14, an engagement groove 16 on side surfaces of the top of the back arm is engaged with a rotation shaft 38 on the rear side of the seat 28 rotatably, and the back arm 14 is horizontally positioned with a short hole 18 and a slot 22 being engaged with a locking adjusting screw 30 on the rear side of the seat 28. Then the back arm 14 is fixed by tightening a locking adjusting member 34 to the locking adjusting screw 30.
