PURPOSE: An apparatus for equalizing a digital broadcasting receiver is provided to perform a phase rotation for each of input data and pilot signal interpolated on a time axis. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for equalizing a digital broadcasting receiver includes a phase rotator. The apparatus for equalizing a digital broadcasting receiver extracts a channel response at a pilot position, performs interpolation on both time axis and a frequency axis, and perform equalization by using dividing the output of interpolation by fast fourier transformed data. The phase rotator of the apparatus for equalizing a digital broadcasting receiver is implemented between the time axis interpolator and the frequency axis interpolator so as to change the phases of the fast fourier transformed data and the time axis interpolated data. The phase rotator includes a cosine look up table storing cos(2&phgr;/N)kα and sine look up table storing sin(2&phgr;/N)kα.
