PURPOSE: A smoking material for a honeybee-raising and a method for the preparation thereof are provided. The smoking material keeps honeybee away from a raiser and prevent him/or her from getting stung by a bee by generating much smoke. The smoking material has no toxicity and is easy to handle. CONSTITUTION: A smoking material comprises 8-12 wt% of mugwort, 8-12 wt% of pine needles to generate the smoke, 5-15 wt% of sap of a tree such as pine resin to increase the amount of the smoke, 40-60 wt% of a coconut peel to neutralize the toxic gas and 15-25 wt% of a submerged rock to increase a combustion efficiency. The preparation method of smoking material is characterized by comprising the steps of grinding followed by pulverizing the mugwort and pine needles.
