PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of a PTC thermistor for driving a low voltage is provided to sufficiently generate a heat by a small voltage of an additional DC 12V capacitor when the supply of 110/220V voltage is stopped. CONSTITUTION: During a plastic working for manufacturing a PTC thermistor, the temperature is first raised slowly from a point(T2) which is about half of the target plastic temperature(T4) to a predetermined point(T3), and secondly raised rapidly from the point(T3) to the target plastic temperature(T4). The temperatures satisfy the formulas of ΔT=T4-T2 and T3=T2+2/3ΔT. The first temperature raising velocity is in the range of 230 to 310°C/hr, and the second temperature raising velocity is in the range of 330 to 1950°C/hr. The PTC thermistor consists of (Ba1-x-yPbxCay)TiO3+pNb2O5+qMn+mSiO2. Herein, 0.2<x<0.4mol, 0.01<y<0.2mol, 0.05<P<0.4mol%, 0<q<0.3weight%, and 0<m<1.0weight%.
