REGULATING MECHANISM FOR CONTROLLING INCREASING PRESSURE OF FUEL FOR A FUEL INJECTOR

The inventive regulating mechanism is arranged in a pressure line (11, 38) in a fuel injector with a pressure intensifier (3). Said regulating mechanism is provided with an actuator (291), a valve housing (22) and a spring-loaded valve piston (23) that is moveably arranged in the valve housing (22). The valve piston (23) creates a fluidic connection through the valve housing (22) between a pressure supply (1) and a control area (32) of the pressure intensifier (3) when the valve piston (23) is in the rest position. The valve piston (23) creates a fluidic connection through the valve housing (22) when the valve piston is in the switching position, whereby the control area (32) in the pressure intensifier (3) is not pressurised.
