The invention relates to a method for monitoring the calculated irradiation control unit of an ion-beam therapy system which comprises a raster scanner device that is arranged in a beam guiding system. Said raster scanner device has vertical and horizontal deflection means for vertically or horizontally deflecting a treatment beam in a perpendicular manner in relation to the direction of said beam and in such a way that the treatment beam is deflected onto an isocentre of the irradiation location by means of the raster scanner device. The treatment beam scans a certain surface that surrounds the isocentre. Data records and permanent storage data of a control computer, parameters of measuring sensors and desired current values of scanner magnets are monitored.
