PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent each of plural color optical scanning units from receiving an adverse effect of a heat from a thermal fixing means. SOLUTION: As for a digital color copying machine 1 as this device, in a space part 301 for storing all the optical scanning units 227a to 227d, an exhaust fan 303 is installed near the optical scanning unit 227d which is positioned closest to the thermal fixing means 217, and an air hole 101 is formed in the position furthest away from the thermal fixing means 217. A temperature sensor is attached to the optical scanning unit 227d positioned closest to the thermal fixing means 217. The rotating speed of the exhaust fan 303 is controlled so that the detection temperature may become equal to or below a prescribed temperature. |
