To test the integrity of waterproof cases (10) for cameras and like apparatu s to be used underwater, a casing (10) with a detector (20) is provided. The a ir inside the casing is pressurized and the detector (20) indicates leakage bas ed on the difference between the pressurized air and atmospheric pressure. A decrease in pressure of the initial level of pressurized air implies leakage .
