摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device that the resonance frequency of the carriage driving coil parts of the storage device is raised and the positioning accuracy of a carriage is enhanced. SOLUTION: Relating to a storage device which is provided with rails 2 parallel with one radius of a disk similarly to an optical disk device and performs the reading and writing of data with respect to the disk by using a carriage 3 moving on the rails 2, and the moving of the carriage 3 is performed with driving coils being on side faces of the carriage 3 and magnetic circuits provided with permanent magnets and yokes being in the outside of the carriage 3, the driving coil 17 is wound around in a rectangular shape whose length of a side in a direction along the side face of the carriage 3 is longer than the length of a side in a direction vertical to the side face and also the permanent magnet 18a or yokes 18b, 18c of the magnetic circuit 18 are positioned opposite to a face including the long side of the rectangular driving circuit 17. Consequently, the riditidy of carriage driving coil 17 is increased and the positioning accuracy of the carriage 3 is enhanced.
