PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To release an engine lock by outputting a driving permiting signal to a relay when preset identification codes of both coincide with each other when a noncontact IC card or an IC tag carried by a vehicle driver approaches and communicates in an electromagnetic field generated by a fixed station arranged in a vehicle. SOLUTION: When a vehicle driver approaches a vehicle 40 by carrying an IC card 1, the IC card enters an electromagnetic field range made by a fixed station 2, so that an electric current is generated. This is used as a power source by a regulator 13. An identification code transmitted by the fixed station 2 is received by a transmission/reception antenna 11 to be sent to a control circuit 15. The control circuit 15 receives the power source from the regulator 13, reads the identification code written in an EEPROM 18, checks up with the identification code of the fixed station 2, and sends back a response signal to the fixed station 2 when both coincide with each other. The response signal is received by a transmission/reception antenna 21 to output a driving permitting signal to a relay 20. Thus, a starter motor 6 can be driven. |
