PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent erroneous recognition from being generated irrespective of a level of relative velocity. SOLUTION: This radar system is a radar system using two frequency- modulated waves (frequencies fU, fL) which keep a constant frequency difference fD all the time, and of which the frequencies repeat a constant gradient. Two transmission waves of negative gradients are used in the case of detecting a distance of na approaching target mainly, two transmission waves of positive gradients are used in the case of detecting mainly the distance of the separating target, and the radar system prevented from generation of erroneous recognition is thereby costituted irrespective a level of relative velocity. The radar system is realized by a simple apparatus.
