PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently reduce exhaustion rate of air pollutants and smoke and sufficiently reduce size and costs in a compact incinerator and method of incineration using the same. SOLUTION: An incinerator 1 consists of double circumferential walls of an inner cylinder 11 and an outer cylinder 12 with a secondary combustion chamber 60 being provided therebetween. The chamber 60 is partitioned to obtain a portion to which exhaust smoke descends and a flue 65 through which the exhaust smoke ascends. Thus the exhaust smoke is led in a siphonal manner and subjected to secondary combustion. Further, a burner device having a flame hole in the flue 65 is located, while providing a flame introducing port 42 for introducing the burner flame into the inner cylinder 11. Furthermore, a compact dust collecting cooling device having a tray filled with water and a number of cylinders serving as a baffle, is arranged above the incinerator 1.
