PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily reproduce an effective three-dimensional sound field by encoding signals for respective groups in the plural encoder groups, multiplexing and transmitting them to a transmission stream, separating multi-channel sound signals for the respective groups from the received transmission stream and decoding them to the multi-channel sound signals. SOLUTION: The sound signals of 10 channels, which are taken out from a signal source, are converted into digital signals from analog signals in an A/D converter part 11 constituted of an A/D converter groups corresponding to respective channels. The encoder group 12 of constitution driving the encoders of two units having five encoder parts corresponding to the respective channels in parallel compresses the information quantity of the respective channels. A multiplexer 13 executes a time divisional multiplex processing and information is transmitted to a reception side by using one transmission line 14. In a reception side, the received multiplex signal is separated into the respective channels by a separator 15. The decoder group 16 of constitution driving the decoders of the two units in parallel executes an expansion processing. |
