PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for converting a wavelength of high generation efficiency of a conversion beam by combining a first conversion beam outputted from a first optical waveguide structure with a second conversion beam outputted from a second optical waveguide structure. SOLUTION: In a TE/TM converter 4, a TE polarization plane of only an optical signal of a specified wavelength decided by a frequency fa is converted to a TM polarization plane to be outputted as the conversion beam. When the conversion beam is supplied to a second polarization beam splitter 8, it is outputted from an output port 8c. The TM component from a first polarization beam splitter 2 is supplied to a TM/TE converter 6. In the TM/TE converter 6, the TM polarization plane of only the optical signal of the specified wavelength decided by the frequency fa is converted to the TE polarization plane to be outputted as a converted beam. The conversion beam is outputted from the output port 8c of the second polarization beam splitter 8. At this time, in the TE/TM converter 4, an inter-digital transducer(IDT) 4C is provided in the vicinity of the output port 4B, and in the TM/TE converter 6, the IDT 6C is provided in the vicinity of the input port 6A. |
