PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin dispersion excellent in low-temperature heat sealability and useful as an adhesive for bonding polyolefins, especially polyethylene, by dispersing, in an organic solvent, a solid ethylene/α-olefin random copolymer which has been modified by grafting a polar monomer. SOLUTION: A polar monomer is grafted onto an ethylene/α-olefin random copolymer which contains 75-97 mol% structural units derived from ethylene and 3-25 mol% structural units derived from a 6-20Cα-olefin, the sum of these units being 100 mol%, and has an intrinsic viscosity (measured at 135 deg.C in decalin) of 0.2-5.0 dl/g, giving a modified ethylene/α-olefin random copolymer containing 0.1-15 wt.% graft units derived from the polar monomer. Thus obtained modified copolymer in the form of solid particles is dispersed in an organic solvent. |
