The invention relates to an acidic solution of electrolytes for producing lead-tin layers. The inventive electrolyte solution comprises alkyl sulfonic acids, soluble tin salts, soluble lead salts and a mixture of one or more nonionogenic surface-active substances and one or more anionic surface-active substances as inhibitors. The invention also relates to a method for producing lead-tin layers using the acidic solution of electrolytes. The inventive method provides a means for producing lead-tin coatings on electronic components.
