RECOMBINANT BICISTRON ADENOVIRUS FOR TREATING PATHOLOGICAL CONDITIONS LINKED WITH DYSLIPOPROTEINEMIA

PURPOSE: A defective recombinant virus and preferably an adenovirus is provided which is used for treating pathological conditions linked with dyslipoproteinemia. CONSTITUTION: A defective recombinant virus and preferably an adenovirus is characterized in that it comprises at least two nucleic acids coding for distinct enzymes, proteins and/or co-factors involved in the reverse transfer of cholesterol, the nucleic acids being operationally bound to a transcriptional promoter and mutually separated by a sequence coding for an internal entry site of the IRES ribosome. Further, provided is plasmid constructs useful for preparing these adenovirus, and cells transformed by these plasmids or adenovirus and pharmaceutical compositions containing the adenovirus.
