STAND FORMING MEMBERS

PURPOSE: A plurality of stand forming members is provided which is adapted to be assembled in different configurations to either form a stand adapted to support a computer monitor at a selected distance above a horizontal surface, and/or form a storage stand having a plurality of drawers in which items can be stored. CONSTITUTION: Stand forming members includes: a top member(10) including a top wall that can be adapted to support a monitor and has a peripheral wall(22) projecting away from its bottom surface; a plurality of generally U-shaped intermediate members(12) each having an upper surface adapted to either support the peripheral wall of the top member or the lower surface on a different one of the intermediate members; a drawer member(14) for insertion in each of the intermediate members; and a base member(16) adapted to be supported and to support the lower surface of the lowest one of the intermediate members.
