<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the retrieving time of the controller by performing data communication after retrieving a learning table on the basis of a destination address obtained by retrieving a protocol controlling table and recognizing the transmitting port to the terminal device on the opposite side. CONSTITUTION:A protocol controlling table 200 is retrieved on the basis of the information frame informed from an exchange and learning controlling section 21 and a host identifier. Since the table 200 is prepared in advance as a table corresponding to the host identifier when the setting is made by a host, the table 200 can be retrieved directly on the basis of the host identifier informed from the section 21. The information frame is processed by using the protocol identifier of the retrieved table 200 and only necessary data are informed to a host connecting section 23 after the host identifier is added. Therefore, at this communication controller 2 the retrieving time of the table 200 used for a learning table 210 and host communication can be reduced.</p> |
