The specification describes the use of a therapeutically effective amount of a type-2 chemokine binding protein having 50% identity with the Shope fibroma virus T1 protein, as set forth in GenBank Accession No: P25946 to manufacture pharmaceuticals to treat disease syndromes associated with acute or chronic dysregulated inflammatory responses.
