PURPOSE: Conventional pyrimidines do not satisfy requirements for their fungicidal activity, particularly due to their law concentrations. Novel halogenopyrimidines useful as pesticides and two methods for producing the compounds are provided. CONSTITUTION: A halogenopyrimidines of formula(I) possess pesticidal activities, wherein Z is optionally substituted Cycloalkyl, Aryl or Heterocyclyl; R is Hydrogen or Alkyl; Q is Oxygen or Sulfur; X is Halogen; and L¬1, L¬2, L¬3 and L¬4 are identical or different from each other, and respectively Hydrogen, Halogen, Cyano, Nitro, or optionally Halogen-substituted Alkyl, Alkoxy, Alkylthio, Alkylsulfinyl or Alkylsulfonyl. The halogenopyrimidines are prepared by method(a) comprising the step of: reacting 2-(2-hydroxy-phenyl)-2-methoxyimino-acetamides of formula(II) with substituted halogenopyrimidines of formula(III), appropriately in the presence of diluents, acid receptors, and catalysts. Alternatively, the halogenopyrimidines are prepared by method(b) comprising the step of: reacting feroxypyrimidine of formula(IV) with ring compounds of formula(V), appropriately in the presence of diluents, acid receptors, and catalysts. The halogenopyrimidines are available for extermination of vermin.
