AQUEOUS COPOLYMER, PRODUCTION PROCESS THEREOF AND USE AS COATING COMPOSITION

PURPOSE: An aqueous copolymer which has uniform and specific molecular weight distribution is provided to prepare binding agent dispersions which exhibit small change of viscosity in storage and have high solid content. CONSTITUTION: A aqueous copolymer is produced by the following steps of: a) putting a hydrophobic polymer with hydroxyl radical in a reactor; b) putting a starting material component in the reactor; c) polymerizing a hydrophobic monomer compound with hydroxyl radical in the reactor; and d) polymerizing a hydrophilic compound with hydroxyl and acidic radicals. The coating composition contains the copolymer and at least one crosslinking agents.
