The invention concerns a complementary component (10) for a vacuum cleaner nozzle, said nozzle comprising in particular a base plate (30) partly defining the air flow conduit (35) inside the nozzle and at least partly the air suction conduit (34) in the nozzle, said air flow conduit (35) inside the nozzle capable of being also defined by a hood arranged on the base plate. The invention is characterised in that said complementary component (10) is fixed on the base plate (30) opposite a surface to be cleaned (31), so as to close the air flow conduit (35) by the presence of a rounded convex elbow (12), defined by a radius of curvature R. The complementary component can also be provided with apertures emerging in a closed cavity comprising or not comprising an absorbent material to reduce the ventilation noise generated by the passage of sucked air.
