PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress increase of chip area by reducing the number of wiring when a discriminating means for use/non-use or the like of a redundant memory in a semiconductor memory is arranged at a position being apart from an I/O pad region. SOLUTION: In constitution in which a memory cell array MSA is divided and a column side decoder part Y' consisting of a Y decoder, column redundancy, a roll-call circuit part, and the like is provided in the divided region being apart from a data bus RWBS, a drive signal supplied to a redundancy memory cell region of column redundancy from the Y decoder is inputted to a roll-call circuit part, and use/non-use of a redundancy memory cell is discriminated. And a roll-call signal according to the discriminated result is outputted to an I/O line, this signal is amplified by a data amplifier DAMP' and outputted to the data bus RWBS.
