摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a lithium manganese spinel positive electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery excellent in load characteristics and charging/discharging characteristics in high current density. SOLUTION: When a positive electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery of a lithium manganese oxide having a spinel crystal structure is manufactured, 0.001 mol or more to less than 0.1 mol of a vanadium compound is mixed with 1 mol of the lithium manganese oxide along with a lithium carbonate and electrolytic manganese dioxide as raw materials of the lithium manganese oxide. Then, the mixture is fired at a high temperature over 900 deg.C.
