PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor which can be reduced in iron loss, and the yoke sections and tooth sections of which can be assembled well and do not require separate dies, and a method for manufacturing the motor. SOLUTION: The magnetic characteristic of a stator 1 can be improved, and accordingly, a highly efficient motor which is reduced in iron loss can be realized, when the stator 1 is constituted so that the flow of magnetic fluxes flowing into the core of the stator 1 coincident with the direction of easy magnetization of a grain-oriented magnetic steel sheet. Since the magnetic pole tooth sections 3 and yoke sections 12a and 12b of the stator 1 are constituted integrally punched, the ease of assembling and the dimensional accuracy between the inside and outside diameters of the motor are improved. Since the stator 1 is constituted by combining a plurality of stator pieces 6 together, the number of manufacturing processes of the motor can be reduced, and the motor can be assembled easily. In addition, since the projecting sections of the magnetic pole tooth sections 3 are arranged on the side faces of both end sections of the yoke sections 12a and 12b, the projecting sections work to prevent bending, and the tooth sections 3 and yoke sections 12a and 12b are no longer deformed around thin-wall connecting sections immediately after punching. Therefore, the yield of the motor can be improved.
