PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frequency converter capable of making the configuration of a device receiving various broadcast waves simpler as a whole. SOLUTION: This frequency converter 50 converts 1st and 2nd received signals SBS and SCS into respective 1st and 2nd intermediate frequency signals S(BS-IF) and S(CS-IF) whose frequency bands are mutually different by using the same local frequency signal SL and supplies each broadcast wave to an indoor tuner through a single coaxial cable. Thus, the configuration of a receiving system can be made simpler. The 1st received signal is a broadcast wave to which a 11.7 to 12.01 (GHz) frequency band distributed through a broadcast satellite is allocated, and the 2nd received signal is a broadcast wave to which a 12.2 to 12.75 (GHz) frequency band distributed through the broadcast satellite is allocated.
