PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently produce a thiocyanatoalkyltrialkoxysilane useful as a reinforcing agent or the like in high purity and high yield by reacting a chloroalkyltrialkoxysilane with sodium thiocyanate, and treating the obtained product under a specific condition. SOLUTION: A mixture of a chloroalkyltrialkoxysilane with sodium thiocyanate in an alcohol is reacted to provide a suspension of a thiocyanatoalkyltrialkoxysilane containing a salt and the alcohol, and the obtained suspension is subjected to a centrifugal separation to separate the salt obtained in the reaction step from centrifugally separated product of the thiocyanatoalkyltrialkoxysilane containing the alcohol. The obtained salt is washed with the alcohol, and the alcohol from the washing step is added to the mixture in the reaction step. The centrifugally separated product is distilled to remove the alcohol to provide a thiocyanatoalkyltrialkoxysilane residue, and the solid component is removed from the obtained residue to provide the objective thiocyanatoalkyltrialkoxysilane.
