PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coming-off exhaust pipe detector which can always surely detect not only the defective connection and coming off of an exhaust pipe, but also the erroneous connection of leads for forming a closed circuit as abnormality by causing the detector to detect the coming off of the exhaust pipe when a control section detects a current exceeding a specific range. SOLUTION: A coming-off exhaust pipe detector is constituted of an appliance main body 1 incorporating a combustor composed of a combusting section 2 and a heat exchanging section 3, an air supply and exhaust pipe 5 connected to the combustor through an exhaust pipe 9, a control section 10, and a closed circuit L formed by electrically connecting the control section 10, exhaust pipe 9, and a resistor 14 added to the air supply and exhaust pipe 5 through lead wires 12 and 11. When the control section 10 detects a current flowing to the closed circuit L exceeding a specific range, the detector detects the coming off of the exhaust pipe 9.
