PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an interesting game by arranging pieces bearing colors or patterns on a board having a plurality of cells, and developing the game by using a die bearing numbers, characters, or the like, as prescribed colors or patterns and moving the pieces in accordance with colors or patterns shown by the die. SOLUTION: Goal positions bearing prescribed patterns are provided in optional cells at optional diagonal vertexes of a board made up of 4×4 (8×8 in the figure) or more cells, and two cells advanced by the same number in the X and Y directions from the goals and one or more cells between the two cells are fixed as piece arrangement cells at the start of the game. At the start, pieces bearing two kinds of colors corresponding to the colors (or patterns) of contending players arranged in the diagonal piece arrangement positions, and a die bearing colors of n+2 kinds including n kinds of colors and the two kinds of colors as those of the contending players on many faces is cast for developing the game. Namely, pieces are moved in accordance with the colors shown in the die, and either of the two players wins if he/she puts one piece on one cell of the other player earlier than the other player.
