<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long iron which facilitates hitting of a ball with easier rising thereof by eliminating a tendency of being erected too much in the addressing surface of the face thereof. SOLUTION: The head 1 of a club placed on the plane in a normal addressing is given a width of the surface 2 of the face as viewed from the front. The width is determined by a reference defined based on the width of the surface 2 of the face of a specified middle iron club or a specified short iron club and the width of the surface 2 of the face of a part or all of the iron clubs with the size thereof smaller than the middle iron club or the short iron club is made almost equal to or larger than the reference.</p> |
