PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the output characteristics of a flyback-system switching power supply. SOLUTION: For a control circuit 40 of a switching power supply, a diode 41, a resistor 42, a capacitor 43, a resistor 44, a transistor 45, a transistor 46, a resistor 47, and a resistor 48 are added other than a conventional control circuit 10 and a capacitor 10a. When the switching power supply results in a further excessive load current, as compared with a drooping characteristic region, a cut-off current characteristic is provided, thus preventing intermittent operation and damage in the power supply that have occurred conventionally.
