PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate an image with high quality by configuring the image processer such that an interpolation arithmetic means is provided to output a signal on a black axis as a signal in a color space at a corresponding output side when the signal in a color space of an input side indicates an achromatic color. SOLUTION: A multi-dimension lookup table 2 stores a signal value of a color space at an output side after conversion at each grating point in a space resulting from dividing a color space at an input side to an address corresponding to each grating point, receives an input of the address from an address generating section 1 and outputs a signal value in a color space at the output side stored in the address. An interpolation arithmetic section 3 conducts an interpolation arithmetic operation on the basis of the signal value of the color space at the output side read from the multi-dimension lookup table 2, and obtains the color value after the conversion of the received color signal. When the signal value of the color space at the input side indicates an achromatic color, the interpolation arithmetic section 3 outputs a signal value of only a black axis as the corresponding signal value in the color space at the output side.
