PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prognosis-improving agent for cancerous diseases, not causing a side-effect. SOLUTION: This prognosis-improving agent includes lactoferrin an/or its hydrolyzate as an active ingredient and is orally administered to cancer patients. Cancerous disease is skin cancer, lung one, laryngeal one, tongue one, breast one, liver one, pancreatic one, esophagus one, stomach one, small intestinal one, colon one, kidney one, ovarian one, uterine one, prostatic one or urinary bladder one. Lactoferrin is preferably at least one kind selected from the group consisting of lactoferrin unsaturated with at least one metal, lactoferrin saturated with at least one metal and apolactoferrin, or a mixture of two or more kinds.
